Daisy became part of the Hollister family just recently, and she could escape her home through the backyard in two days. Her family and the rescuers who helped secure her found her many times, but she could elude them all.
Daisy was a foster
Before she was adopted, Daisy was a foster, and that’s where she had a special bond with the family’s little girl named Meghan Topping, who was six years old.
Meghan and her mom, Karen, were surprised to see Daisy one day in a field. Karen took photos of the dog while Meghan took it upon herself to lure Daisy into their truck. The girl said that she talked to Meghan in her head because it’s what the dog had taught her before.
Meghan went to where Daisy was, and it seemed like Daisy recognized her and that she had come close to where Meghan was. So the girl gave Daisy some pets and then went to the truck to get a leash. That was when she could secure Daisy and ensure she didn’t run away again.
The family that Daisy knew that the dog needed a family with children, and they didn’t have that.
Meghan’s family couldn’t adopt Daisy, and it seemed like Daisy was good with children. However, Daisy soon found herself in a new home where she lived with another six-year-old named Ava. The new family now thinks they can teach and train her to become a therapy dog.
