Dogs can do many things for us. They are not only fun to be with, but they can sometimes also save lives. A Dog Named Bowie Saves The Mailman’s Life.
Bowie’s owner, Cyndi Dawson, shared the inspirational story of her dog online. She told everyone how the pooch saved the mailman’s life, named Bill, who was also her good friend.
The dog, a Bishon Frise and Yorkshire Terrier mix, woke Cyndi up early in the morning. After that, the pooch relentlessly tried to get her to the front door. Initially, Cyndi failed to understand what was wrong with the dog, and all she could figure out was that the pooch was trying to communicate something to her. So she followed the pooch and was shocked to see what had transpired outside.
The mailman, unconscious
The mailman had hit Cyndi’s car and was lying unconscious in his vehicle. Bill had been fighting brain cancer, and because Bowie alerted his owner in time, she brought help and saved Bill’s life.
Bill and Bowie have always been good chums, and their bond has grown even stronger because of Bowie’s recent heroics. While talking to reporters, Bill said that Bowie was a fantastic dog and was grateful to the pooch for saving his life.
Saving Bill’s life
Cyndi is proud of her dog for saving Bill’s life. She has also started a GoFundMe page to raise money for Bill’s medical bills.
Cyndi told reporters that she wanted to help Bill because it was incredible that her dog woke her up and got her out of the house to save his life — so she wanted to do more for him.
Bowie’s story has not only won the hearts of many people online, but he is also now treated as a neighborhood hero.
