In the UK, an elderly Black Labrador was abandoned and tied to a railing outside Jasmil Kennels in Upchurch, Kent. A heartbreaking note explained why the Owner Dumped the Dog In The Street.
The letter revealed that the dog had lived with the owner for ten years. However, the fur parent ran out of patience with the pup. The owner said that the black Lab had not learned to be good, so his owner decided to return the dog to where he was found.
Track the owner down.
It was puzzling how an owner could desert his dog after looking after him for so long. So, the Swale Borough Council Stray Dog Service decided to track the owner down to better understand the situation.
In a Facebook post, the shelter said they would like to speak to the dog’s owner to establish why he abandoned the pup. Unfortunately, the staff found no chip or other identification of the dog or its owner. So, the shelter staff asked those who might recognize the pup to contact them confidently or send them a private message through the page.
Found its owner.
After posting about the dog, the shelter soon found its owner. They updated the information, saying they learned that the situation was not what it initially seemed after the investigation. So, they have taken the appropriate action based on the circumstances.
The staff has also contacted the dog owner’s extended family, who know and love the pup. Unfortunately, they were unaware of the owner’s plans and asked to take care of the dog instead. As a result, he can safely live the latter part of his life with the people he knows. If the pup reacts positively to the family, the shelter will let him stay with them.
