Fur parents know that nothing matters more than their fur baby’s happiness and comfort. That is why, sometimes, they find themselves doing some things that others might believe to be a little extreme, like Betsy Redfern, a College Student and Her Senior Dog’s Bedroom.
Betsy was only in third grade when Cupid, the Chihuahua, became a part of her life. It has been 12 wonderful years since then, and they remain the best of friends who are always by each other’s side. Nothing could separate these two, not even Betsy’s leaving home for college.

Betsy brought Cupid along when she moved away from home to go to college. When she arrived at her new apartment, Betsy realized that her bedroom had an extra closet attached to it. So instead of making it into a storage space, Betsy decided to transform it into Cupid’s oasis. She wanted her beloved pooch to sleep and chill out in it while she attended her classes.
Cupid’s room is complete with a small bed, cozy blankets, a comfy rug, a clothing rack, a collection of toys, and even a nameplate. According to Betsy, her mom designed the bed and sewed everything for her. To top it all, Cupid owns a five-year-old turtle named Caru, who keeps him company.

Although Cupid’s room is so sweet, it also serves a good purpose. It is a comfortable and quiet place for the senior dog to rest. Betsy also attached a baby gate to it to keep Cupid in his room while in class. Because of that, Betsy’s mind is at peace, knowing that her dog is safe and cozy.
When Betsy designed Cupid’s room, she chose the color palette and patterns that match her bedroom. She also decorated it with a miniature Christmas tree and ornaments to make it look as festive as the entire apartment during the holiday season.
Sometimes, recreating the warm environment that your dog used to have back home can be difficult. Thankfully, Betsy found the perfect way to keep Cupid safe, happy, and cozy, given their circumstances.
