The pooch arrived at the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control when his previous owners surrendered him. The puppy had a grumpy face, but this does not show the dog’s real personality. According to the animal control volunteers, Sheldon is a lovely puppy, contrary to his grumpy face. The dog loves receiving tummy rubs from people and being with them.

However, luck must not have been on Sheldon’s side after a few months of living at the shelter. This is because he could not find the perfect family to adopt him. But, since the volunteers know the pup’s real personality, they promised to help the dog find his would-be owners.

This is why the volunteers took the pooch outside the animal control for a personal photoshoot. The volunteers know the power of social media, so they want to use this as leverage. Heather Hatlmeyer was the one who took photos of the pooch. Before Heather took Sheldon’s photos, she put a bright green bow tie to the dog’s collar.
During the entire shoot, Sheldon was well-behaved, and he was serious. But this was the time that Heather discovered something about the puppy. The dog’s pouty lips are cute enough to be translated into endearing photographs. So, this was what Heather did.
Dog’s Viral Photos Lead to Sheldon’s Adoption.
The photographer instructed the puppy to do silly acts because Sheldon is a natural cutie. When the dog’s photos were published online, Emily Chmiel saw the dog’s viral images and fell in love with the dog. After some contemplation, Emily eventually applied to be the dog’s new parent. The woman submitted the needed paper works for the dog’s adoption. In the end, Emily’s application got approved. But, according to Emily, she would not waste this opportunity given to her.
