Blind Dog Finds A Home After Six Years In A Shelter. No dog deserves to stay in a shelter for the rest of their life. Living in a shelter for a couple of months is already unacceptable, and six years is way too long. Every dog deserves a permanent and loving family.

Fortunately, this sweetheart is about to get that type of family. A sweet dog named Vickie has lived in the shelter for over six years. That is too long of a time living in a metal cage.

The shelter manager Elijah noticed that she kept running in circles. Since she has minimal space, that’s what she does to kill time. Since she is also blind, running around in circles was all she could do.

Vickie has hope.

Because of this, Elijah makes sure that he brings Vickie walks every day. Aside from Elijah, a couple of volunteers come to the shelter. They take the other dogs for walks.

One of the volunteers was Ellen. Ellen went to the shelter with her daughter one day, and that’s when they saw Vickie.

They brought her for a walk, and since then, they have been consistently visiting her. Ellen wanted to make sure that Vickie got used to seeing her and her daughter, Honora. They did not want to scare her off every time they visited.

It might seem that the mother and daughter were helping Vickie. But, instead, Vickie was helping the mother and daughter’s relationship. The two ladies have bonded over Vickie.

Before meeting Vickie, Ellen and Honora rarely talked. Now, they continuously converse about Vickie. Ellen is very grateful for this.

Vickie, a Blind dog, finds a home.

Two months after they saw Vickie, Ellen decided that she belonged to her family. So Ellen took Vickie out of the shelter and brought her home. Honora was thrilled!

Vickie is finally home. After six long years in the shelter, Vickie finally gets a family to call her own.

Vickie finally gets to experience sleeping in a warm bed. She will be getting all the love that she truly deserves from here on out.
