Indigo is a wolfdog, and she was injured. It was a good thing someone saw her and decided to call a rescuer named Sarah Valey, who rushed to help the dog.
Sarah was doing her regular work when she received the call about a dog injured in a car accident. She went there quickly to check on the dog.
Sarah found the dog to be in a terrible state. One of her legs became deformed, and she couldn’t walk right. She needed surgery to get well.
Despite having two Pitbulls and not planning on adopting another dog, Sarah knew that this wolfdog would be hers. She wanted to spend more time with the animal.
Injured Wolf Dog Recused With Love
After Indigo got her surgery, Sarah visited her. Indigo locked eyes with her when she opened the door, and the dog started to wag her tail with excitement. She even tried to pull on her leash, but she was still limping. She tried to get to Sarah.
One thing that concerned Sarah was how long Indigo might have to overcome her trauma.
The shelter where Indigo was living tried to find people who would adopt the dog but could not. So Sarah volunteered to be the dog’s foster.
Indigo accepted
Indigo still needed time to adjust to living in a regular home. The Pitbulls that Sarah owned also took their time trying to accept the new dog in the house. However, after sniffing at each other, they started to play together.
Sarah had to do extra tasks to help Indigo, including waking up early to walk Indigo for a bit. It wasn’t easy, but Sarah was focused, and her efforts paid off when she saw Indigo getting better.
