Sisko the Cold Mysterious Tunnel
The biting wind whipped snow into swirling patterns across the deserted alleyway. Officer Kyson Hunter, bundled in a parka, shivered slightly as he scanned the grimy brick walls. His breath plumed white in the frigid air. Beside him, Sisko remained alert, her powerful nose twitching, working the scent of the previous night’s disturbance. The target: a suspected robot, or at least a highly advanced android, possibly involved in a series of bank robberies.

“Anything, girl?” Hunter murmured, his voice barely audible above the wind’s howl.
Sisko finds the tunnel
Sisko let out a low whine, her tail stiffening. She pulled at the leash, her gaze fixed on a discarded dumpster. Hunter approached cautiously, his hand resting on his holster. He examined the dumpster, noting a faint metallic scent mixed with the usual grime.—-
“Interesting,” he muttered. Sisko was already sniffing around the base, her body tense.
“Something behind it?” Hunter asked, kneeling, his voice quiet.
Sisko barked sharply, a low, guttural sound indicating a definite find. Hunter carefully moved the dumpster, revealing a narrow access point leading to an underground service tunnel. The air coming from the tunnel carried a distinct metallic tang, stronger than before, and a faint whirring sound.
“Stay close,” Hunter instructed his hand briefly tightening around his sidearm. He switched on his flashlight and entered the tunnel, Sisko following closely behind.
The tunnel was cramped and damp, the air thick with the metallic odor. The whirring sound intensified. They moved deeper into the tunnel, the beam of Hunter’s flashlight cutting through the gloom.
“Hold it,” Hunter whispered, raising his hand to signal Sisko to stop. The whirring stopped abruptly. Then, a quiet click. A metallic glint caught Hunter’s eye. A small, almost humanoid robot, no bigger than a large doll, was tucked away in a recessed area of the tunnel wall, partially concealed by a loose panel. Its chassis was dented, a small spark still flickering from a damaged connection. It appeared deactivated.
“Good girl,” Hunter praised, crouching to examine the robot more closely. He noticed a small, almost imperceptible inscription on its side.
“Model X47 – Prototype.”
Movement in the tunnel
Then Kyson noticed a movement farther back in the tunnel. Sisko gave a low bark and took off, Kyson right behind. She caught up with the person in seconds. Kyson found Sisko with her teeth hanging tight to the person’s pants. Kyson grabbed him by the arm.
“Who are you, and what are you doing down here?”
The Man studdered, and Sisko tightened her grip, and the man’s pants started to rip. Kyson repeated the question.
“The scared man blurted out, “I’m Dr. Lewis. I invented a small robot.”
“Why?”
“I need money to continue my research. So I used the robot to rob the bank.”
“Looks like we found our guy,” Hunter said, his voice low. Sisko loosened her grip. Kyson led the man through the tunnel and up into the alleyway and called dispatch.
He waited for confirmation, then turned to Sisko, scratching behind her ears. “Another case closed, thanks to you, girl.”
Back at the percent, the man tried to demonstrate how the robot worked, but it had some electrical problems.
“Looks like you’ll have time to think about how to fix your robot in jail, Dr Lewis.” Said Kyson.
He just looked at Kyson with a sad face.
“Come on, Sisko, let’s go. You earned a treat today.”
Sisko, upon hearing the word ” treat, ” began to wag her tail vigorously and let out a loud bark.
