A pup named Brodie, who was severely mauled by his previous owner, ended up having a disfigured face. The gutsy dog not only survived the brutal treatment, but he went on to have a terrific life later on.
The vicious mauling had caused a severe cranial injury on top of the facial injuries that the poor puppy had received. The wounds healed up, but the pup’s jaws were fused together, giving him a distorted facial appearance. The dog’s appearance had now made it difficult for him to be adopted into a new forever home.
Luckily the pooch, living at a shelter in Alberta, Canada, found a foster home, but his new family was quick to return him, citing the reason that he was hyperactive and was not easy to handle. Things had certainly taken a worrisome turn for our dear dog.
But, Brodie did not have to wait too long for his perfect human family. When Amanda Richter and her boyfriend Brad Ames heard about the pup’s story, they instantly got intent on adopting the pooch.
The couple traveled to the shelter and got Brodie home. Now they are really happy to make the pup a part of their life.
Amanda told reporters that Brodie was definitely hyperactive, but that also meant that he was an intelligent pooch. The dog usually took only ten minutes to learn new tricks.
Brodie’s new family absolutely adores him. They have embraced his unique personality and are a fan of his intelligence. They also made an Instagram account dedicated to the pooch, which now boasts a massive following of around 166,000 people.
Amanda and Brad are making sure to give the best life to their pooch. The doggo spends most of his time exploring the world around him and playing with his toys.
